Season 18

Dear Listeners,

There’s a chill in the air and the leaves are starting to fall, so naturally it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a brand-new season of HumaNature. This season you’ll hear about a German woman who has devoted her life to advocating for manta rays in Hawaii. Then you’ll journey alongside the first American woman to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole. Finally, I chat with two passionate individuals about the future of public lands and why they need protection. 

It’s a fantastic season and I’m so excited to share these stories with you. With the loss of all federal funding, it’s been a tough time for public media, and its future remains uncertain. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for all the support over the years, you are the reason I can keep producing these episodes and sharing these incredible stories.
